The Belleville Spirits (girls) are now accepting applications for the 2016-17 season. Interested people should submit the coach application by May 31 and all applicants will be scheduled for an interview during the 1st week of June. Coaches will be chosen by a 3 member team comprised of members of the Spirits executive. Spirits coaches will be chosen based on qualifications and experience as well as the ability to work effectively with players, parents, and the Spirits club as a whole.
Spirits alumni gathered in the STSS gym on Saturday, May 14 to renew old friendships and show that they “still got game”. A fabulous day!

In Round robin play, Belleville defeated Guelph 36-24. Hannah Farrell had 14 points and Marly Danford had 6 points. Congratulations to the Belleville Spirits Girls AA Major Atom basketball team for capping a great season with a Gold medal performance in the Ontario Cup this past weekend in Newmarket going a perfect 4-0.

The Belleville Spirits Major Atom Girls A team returned home victorious with a Bronze Medal from the Mike O’Connor Memorial A/AA Tournament in Gloucester. The Spirits played five games during the three day tournament, playing both A and AA teams.
